Solidarity with Sea-Eye!
On Monday, the rescue ship #SeaEye5 @seaeyeorg was detained by Italian authorities.
We demand the immediate release of Sea-Eye 5 and NADIR and an end to the systematic obstruction of humanitarian aid!
1/2 Yesterday at 19:15pm, following an alert by @AlarmPhone, #OceanViking rescued a boat carrying 73 people in distress in the Maltese SRR.
Italian authorities ordered all 73 survivors to be disembarked in Savona - over 1,130 km from where the rescue took place.
People we are in touch with on the phone experience horrible push- and pullbacks every day. The forced return of so many trying to escape across the sea cannot continue! With @RefugeesInLibya we say: stop the #memorandum between #Italy & #Libya!
