Rescued! 97 people who were trying to escape from #Libya called Alarm Phone in distress. We relayed their emergency situation to relevant authorities and the #civilfleet. @SOSMedIntl reacted and carried out a successful rescue operation!
Last night, the crew on the #OceanViking performed the rescue of 97 people, including 14 unaccompanied minors, following an alert by @alarm_phone.
Many were dehydrated and two people required medical intervention.
They had left from Zuwarah, Libya, two days earlier.
