AP Scrapbook: a behind-the-scenes look into 10 years of Alarm Phone

The AP Scrapbook offers an intimate look into the work of Alarm Phone, a collection of scribbles and notes from our meetings and shifts, testimonies, interviews, CommemorActions, photos, recipes, games, comics, collages and texts. A book of reflections on our work, on the political terrain in which we operate, the emotional spaces we navigate, and the wider community we are part of.

The book was produced in collaboration with the Centre for Human Rights and the Arts (CHRA) at Bard College.

🆘 from the Central Med - 30 people in distress south of Lampedusa
Alarm Phone was called by a group in distress on a rubber boat just 40nm off #Lampedusa, who are struggling in the wind and waves.
Authorities are informed and should bring the people to safety without delay!

In a few weeks in April 2025, 3 boats disappeared in the Central Med. More than 130 people remain missing, more than 130 families continue to search for answers. Alarm Phone stands with them today & every day against the EU border regime. #CommemorAction

On 27 August 2025, ~70 people disappeared in the Central Mediterranean. Since that day families are searching for their loved ones. On 4 February, ASGI filed a request to the Italian Coastguard to finally get some answers. Read our joint statement:
