Sie befindet sich auf einem Boot in der Nähe von Lesbos. Der Motor streikt. Die hier publizierte Whatsapp-Kommunikation gibt eindrucksvolle Einblicke in die wertvolle Arbeit des Alarmphone und macht die Verwerflichkeit der europäischen Grenzpolitik deutlich, die Geflüchtete in solch lebensgefährliche und nur zu oft tödliche Situationen bringt.”

On 27 August 2025, ~70 people disappeared in the Central Mediterranean. Since that day families are searching for their loved ones. On 4 February, ASGI filed a request to the Italian Coastguard to finally get some answers. Read our joint statement:
