@Frontex @HCoastGuard 4/7 Greek authorities – as usual – blame the shipwreck on two Sudanese refugees, whom they arrested as smugglers, while the real blame lies with the European policy of deterrence that forces people to risk their lives on dangerous sea-crossings.
1/7 In the afternoon of November 11, Maha (37), Haydar (12) & Zayn (13) lost their lives when a boat capsized south of #Gavdos while a Frontex vessel approached them. 55 survivors were found, many remain missing, including the body of Haydar.
130 people landed on the small island of #Pserimos, #Greece! There are several people in need of medical assistance. The people are scared of an illegal #pushback! They sent a photo showing that #Greek officers arrived. @HCoastGuard: We urge to support the group & #NoPushback!
